We have adopted once again. No not words this time. A live being. A dog. Her name is Karma and she’s really sweet. Here’s what the rescue had on their website about her:
Karma appears to have been dumped 15 miles away from where we think she lived. A neighbor recognized her when he saw her on the road and picked her up. Her family was moving and had called a rescue saying they had to get rid if her but never called the rescue back and 1 week later the family was gone and Karma was found wandering.
She is good with other dogs, seems ok with cats and wagged her tail when she saw her foster's children.
She was covered in ticks when we got her but after a nice bath and a de-ticking (Thank you Michelle from Natural Pet Center) she is feeling much better.
We took her on a trial basis. Aside from some potty issues the first week or so, she’s been great. Karma had been “fostered” with a family with two small girls and she was used to little people. She tolerated JC trying to “pet” her and feed her plastic toys. Karma is part Husky, so Aria is in love and probably does the most care of all the kids. Of course that was part of the deal for getting a dog, that the kids would do a majority of the work with her since she was theirs. Mom and Dad do a lot of reminding, and we take her out just as often I think. Karma will be a good fit here, and she’s a very sweet and gentle dog. She’s a bit timid, but she knows how to bark when defending her yard. That’s about the only time I hear her bark, which is great! Friday her tags and vet info came in the mail. I guess its official!!
As you can see, she seems to like the kids! Also, you can see my place is a disaster and I need to clean. SO, thanks for coming by, I love your comments, and I promise to get back to everyone this week. But probably not today!! Have a great weekend!!
