Tuesday night there were some pretty awesome storms rolling through here. Although they say there was no actual tornado, the straight line winds did just as much damage. We were without power for four hours. Aria and I went to see the damage first hand. The nearby golf course lost a few large old trees. It was amazing to see something that size just pulled from the ground.
The cemetery also lost several large trees, some of them snapped right at the base! There was surprisingly little damage to the headstones. Only one or two were actually tipped, most seemed to avoid the fallen trees. We walked around, surveying the wreckage, and here and there we righted a flag or picked up a flower vase. One stone that touched our hearts was that of a little boy lined with plastic toys. We stood the little objects back around the marker.
We had a few branches down in our yard, but nothing spectacular. There was hail damage in other areas, but we were lucky on that account, too.

Wow! It always amazes me to see trees torn out by their roots! Sorry to hear you were without power. I hope it wasn't too bad.
Wow-That is incredible! We had some doozies here last night (thousands were without power in Green Bay). Your pics are impressive.
That is one big old tree! Thank goodness no one was hurt.
wow, looks like some crazy wind!
I'm glad you didn't suffer any damages, but how sad to see the end of those great big trees! The force of nature is aweing!
