Like an enema for your brain, it’s Fragment Friday. A chance to purge your mind of all the bits and pieces clogging up your mental flow. You can thank Mrs. 4444 at Half Past Kissing Time for all the fun! (and isn’t her new button pretty?!)
- Max: “Little Miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet, eating her curves and waves.”
- Our house is a block away from the railroad switching area. Noisy. Better than that, we’re many blocks from a full blow farm. On the right night, you can clearly hear the cattle “lowing” all night. I had no idea how LOUD cattle can be. Also, on the right night, the wind blows right past the cattle first…. I’m sure you can imagine. We might as well have moved to a farm. Awesome.
- I am tired of my computer restarting without my permission. Especially when I’ve left something to finish in the morning. I’m still too much of a weenie to switch to a Mac even though I know I’d be happier. Its like living with an abusive boyfriend just because I’m used to the treatment and he keeps telling me he loves me.
- Max just turned 6 and started Kindergarten this fall. He’s been reading all summer and has really advanced in school. Here is Max reading Lego Rocket Rescue, a book he found at the library. (What could be better, reading and Legos?!)
- My good friend Leanna (aka the RaMbLeR) is running Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon with her husband in Vegas this weekend! I’m wishing them lots of luck and stamina! I also suggested she get these
Those of you on Twitter, would you do me a favor and tweet her @leanna_mom23 and wish her a good run?! She doesn’t know I’m asking, so it would be a surprise if a bunch of people started tweeting her!! I think she’d love the support!!!!
- oh, and I'm a virgin VGNO'er ;) - tonight's the night!!!

Hey Mel, welcome to the VGNO!!!
And you're on the list to receive the Heart-Shaped Rock. You're number 24. (We're at #3. It will get to you... eventually :->).
More info. to come. I hope you meet some terrific bloggers tonight! Happy VGNO!
Oh my, it's been awhile since I checked in with Leanna. Glad to hear she's doing well. I'm definitely going to tweet her!
Happy VGNO!
I tweeted about the race. I knew it was coming up but didn't know it was this weekend. Awesome!
Curds and waves, lol
Happy VGNO!
AHAHAHAHA! Curves and waves...priceless!! :)
Ohhhh I can relate to the computer spontaneously rebooting itself. I've started saving everything before I leave it unattended - even when I close my laptop and it's suposed to go to 'sleep', it somehow ends up rebooting itself, and if I didn't save something *poof*! it's gone. I'm with you, I'm too much of a weenie to switch to Mac - though my brother recently did and can't sing their praises enough.
Loved Max reading Lego Rocket Rescue!
I haven't visited Leanna in a while - I'll definitely have to go give her props for the run! The video was hysterical! :)
Happy FF and VGNO! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello. Great blog... love the Camu quote.
Happy GNO!

Happy VGNO!!!
Happy late VGNO. You weren't crazy, I had not published your comment for some reason I missed the email. I'm going to take that off, I was getting some "odd" comments from one user that week... not "naughty" just odd, and numerous!
I grew up next to a farm, yes, cows/cattle can be loud, and well the smell, be thankful it's not a pig farm. I always thought it was just the fresh air smell!
I am your weenie sister! I know I should switch too, but still I stay loyal to my disloyal PC. Glutton for punishment I guess.
"eating her curves and waves.” Way too cute! :)
Reading is such a gift! I'm glad Max has received it well :)
We live within earshot of a train track (at least we hear it in the summer...) It's very sad, because every time I hear the train, it makes me think of a boy who was killed when his mom didn't stop at an intersection one morning and crashed into the train. I can't imagine what pain she went through first to lose her son, but then to have to hear that train every day. It was no surprise that they eventually moved. sorry for the morbid comment!
