moving violation

~~~~~~~ And for the WORDFUL part~~~~~~~
Turns out JC learned how to crawl this week. Want to know how I discovered this fun little nugget of information?? Go ahead, take a few guesses... I'll let you know at the end of the day! Of course I took pictures. Don't worry, this was shortly after (already smiling) and it looks a lot worse than it was. It has already cleared up. By the way, please feel free to hand over that Mom of the Year award any time!!
You can read more Wordful Wednesday posts at SevEn cLoWn CirCuS!
So what did he do, you ask? He left the toy room, crawled through the landing and tumbled down a full set of (carpeted, thank God) stairs. All in the time it took me to bring some laundry down to my bedroom. I heard the screaming and ran back to the steps just in time to see him take one more head over heels tumble and land in a sitting position at the bottom! I think I scratched his cheek trying to make a grab for him. Poor little guy! He was just following mom! I didn't put him down the rest of the day!!
My second was a daredevil. We were sitting at a family dinner (it was the Seder at my MIL's) with my 9month old sound asleep in a crib in the back room, when we heard a THUNK.
Yep. He had crawled out, hit the floor, and was making a beeline for the table.
NINE MONTHS.
I knew then it was time to lower the deductible and raise the limits on my homeowner's insurance.
Sooo funny. I remember those days; it was scary to go out in public and know that people would probably wonder if I was beating my kid, what with all of the shades of purple on his forehead. Good luck!
